Unlike others my story isn’t a complete happy ending…..not yet anyway. However, I do feel my story is one to be grouped with the happily in love genre. In 2011, my sophomore year of high school, I took part in a Japanese home stay program for 8-weeks. Leading up to the program and during my time in Japan, a relationship or meeting “the one” was as far out of mind as could be. At the time I was anticipating, “How in the world is this going to be some life altering experience?” and, “How am I going to survive for 8-weeks when I don’t speak Japanese and my family doesn’t speak English?” However, as fate would have it all things come in time and happen for a reason. During my stay in Japan, I was a part of a group with another foreigner from Michigan. We will call him M. Now, M isn’t a bad guy. I am sure if you get to know him he could be really sweet.
