Oh my gosh, I am so sorry for the amount of “Canada Jokes” we make. It’s one of the (many) horrible “American” habits Ryosuke picked up from How I Met Your Mother. During our honeymoon in Peru, there was a Canadian on one of our tours of a church, Ryouske actually walked up to him and tried a couple Canada Jokes on him (I drew a comic of it, here). Whaaaaat. In all seriousness, whenever anyone hears I used to live in Ibaraki (or that I’m spending the weekend in Ibaraki), they’re always like “but, why?” Apparently Ibaraki is famous for having nothing. And, like, sort of being a hick-prefecture. I don’t know, I like it. And my in-laws live in Ibaraki, so we kind of have to visit once a month.
