5 Things I did NOT expect would happen before I turned 22

As of today, I am one year closer to the age I lie and tell people, when they ask how old I am at meetings, networking events, and interviews. I just turned 22. I am sad to admit that I am actually ashamed of my age. I have been turned down from jobs before (“Oh, you’re 21? Oh… we were looking for someone with a bit more experience…”) and had people comment on my marriage (“You’re 21?? And you’re married? Isn’t that too young?”) So I lie about my age. I mean, hey, a lot of women lie about their age… but,  I’m 22 now. And so far, it’s been awesome. Last year, I wrote a post about all the things I did NOT expect would happen before I turned 21 (but they did). So, in the spirit of things, I decided to do the same thing this year!
