Comic: Sweet Potato Cake

It sounds weird, but I’m super-addicted to sweet potato cakes and sweets. They’re either severed as a dark purple or custard yellow – in anything from ice cream to tiny cakes at the bakery. They’ve also come out with sweet potato ice cream that is served in a wafer that looks like a raw sweet potato. As a congratulations for submitting my book on time, Ryosuke came back from the local bakery with a peach cake (peach cream with peach slices on the top of a vanilla cake) and sweet potato cake (dark purple sweet potato icing on top of sweet potato cake with yellow custard sweet potato filling). I didn’t really ask about the sweet potato cake, since I thought it was a stereotypical far-too-cute, purple, Japanese cake. Turns out it was sweet potato flavored. It was delicious. I was just surprised because, you know, we don’t really have too many sweet potato desserts in Texas. Pretty much the closes thing I can think of are sweet potato fries, but those aren’t exactly smothered in cream.
