Japan, as a country, has a very fine attention to detail. Foreigners visiting the country are often impressed by the escalator etiquette (people line up on one side of the escalator, leaving plenty of room for people to pass them if they’re in a hurry), incredibly clean streets despite the lack of public trash cans (people just bring their trash home and recycle it, rather than littering), efficient train schedules, and variety of healthy/legitimate food options at any convenience store. Me? I was impressed by the adorable construction animals.
