Ah, the little black dress. Every girl has one (because every fashion magazine tells us this is a staple), but few of us actually know how to transition it from night to day. I spent this week trying to figure out how to make it work for classes, and this is what I found out: The Little Black Dress: Overshirt and sweater Why are little black dresses awesome? Every fashion magazine tells women that we need to have one They make all skin tones look fantastic They accessorize well Things go well with black How to wear a little black dress in a casual setting: 1. With a green overshirt You can leave a couple buttons open, tie it up with a sash, and pick up some clunky footwear. This is the easiest way to make the outfit more casual. Extra points if the overshirt is drastically different than “normal” overshirts. 2. With a tan sweater and furry boots You can make a real statement with furry heel boots.
