Of all the annoying things I say, “That’s not fair!” is probably the phrase that bothers Ryosuke the most. Because he always replies “But why does it have to be fair?” He doesn’t understand why I’m so obsessed with fairness. I think that it’s only fair that things, well, be fair. I know that life isn’t supposed to be fair. And I also know that it’s not a big deal if the “male” chopsticks are a couple cm longer than the “female” chopsticks. And I don’t know why it bothered me. (and yes, I realize that the male chopsticks are longer because men typically have longer hands. It makes sense. I just had a really knee-jerk “it’s not fair!” reaction when I noticed it) Ryosuke thinks I’m a bit weird. Also, here is a picture of the chopsticks in question (which really are lovely chopsticks):
