It’s always the little things that you remember the most. Honestly, I never intended to keep the ring-pop my husband gave me the day he asked me out. The whole thing was so romantic, but we were young and stupid. He got on one knee with a strawberry ring pop and asked me to be his girlfriend. I said “yes” (of course) and then we made out for a while behind the dorm. I ate the ring pop that afternoon and, being the hoarder that I am, I rinsed it out and left it on top of my desk, rather than throwing it away. It didn’t seem right to just throw it away. “I’ll keep it for a while and surprise Ryosuke on our 1 month anniversary – he’s going to think it’s crazy-romantic (or weird) that I kept it.” I thought with a laugh.
