What does AMWF stand for? AMWF, an acronym that stands for “Asian Male, White Female,” is a community of white women who are in a relationship (or hope to be) with an Asian man and Asian men who are in a relationship with (or hope to be) with a white woman. Yes, this is a real thing. In the last two years, different AMWF support groups have been popping up around the internet. While originally unaware of their existence, I was approached by an AMWF blogger who wanted an interview with me about dating in Japan. Why? Because I am a white American woman and my fiancé is an Asian Japanese man. (He’s also a boxing enthusiast who loves cooking and keeping this OCD-level clean). Since then, I have found photos from my personal blog on AMWF dating websites, AMWF Tumblr groups, and community forums devoted to AMWF couples.
